Ruth, Fran, Sara, Kaia, Hannah, Imari were all miscasts for the Tom Ford show, imo. As much as I love some of them, they just don't fit the show, at all.

I thought Kaia looked great at Tom Ford... I maybe would looked too young but she pulled it off...

Sadly, Leila wasn’t at TF. She would have killed it.

Such a cool cast @ Colovos . Kinga, Ajak, Alana, Sophia, Bhumika, Zuzanna and Juliana Schurig !! haven't seen anything of her since a lot.
Tom Ford's cast was a big MEH.

Oh dear...

But then again I feel like Wang is one of those shows where we just cannot escape from those names. I just hope that they don't repeat last season's fudge where it literally "invalidated" the one who closed the show by continuously spotlighting Bella.

They will surely do the job 10 times better than this cast.

Also, can Ruth or May or whoever that is stay in Dior forever? Her appearance at TF was a major eyesore IMO
Yes, Tom Ford casts are so weird these days and from seasons to seasons. Between Tom's favorites (Binx, Joan, Grace), Carine's favorite (Cara, Kaia...etc) and James weird fillers like Marjan, it's quite confusing.

Their last great cast was for the "see now buy now" show: grown up with some veterans and some supermodels. This is what they should go for every season. It's a 1 billion brand that can afford to put two shows in 48h, it's not like budget is an issue for them...

Wow. I’m not familiar with the brand, but I love/miss all of those girls. I’ll have to check it out.

EDIT: OMG. Best cast ever. Arlenis and Kel M. too? Lovely.

^ I believe it's Piergiorgio Del Moro but I think the reason why it's similar is due to Benjamin Bruno who styles the show and works a lot with Ashley.

An interesting article in Vogue.com about the Colovos show and a supposed statement regarding the longevity of models' careers...

Quote:
At Colovos, a Powerful Protest Against Modeling’s Revolving-Door Problem
FEBRUARY 9, 2018 6:09 PM
by JANELLE OKWODU

This season, designers Nicole and Michael Colovos were in search of the perfect faces—ones they’d already seen before. At most Fashion Week shows, the casts are comprised primarily of newbies, but for their Fall 2018 outing yesterday, the husband-and-wife team revisited some of their favorite women from years past: models like Kinga Rajzak, Alana Zimmer, and Kel Markey, all of whom they had worked with during their tenure at Helmut Lang. In doing so, the pair made a subtle statement about the lack of longevity in the modeling industry.

Though charting the influx of fresh faces each season can be exciting, the number of new models pushed onto the industry at any given moment makes creating a lasting career difficult. There’s no longer any guarantee that the faces who dominated Spring will make it to Fall, and each season, that cycle continues. It’s something that casting director Angus Munro has found disquieting. “I really have a hard time with the insatiable desire for new models every season—it feels wrong on so many levels,” shared Munro via email postshow. “Girls are feted one minute and discarded a season later. It’s just so irresponsible, especially in terms of the effect it could have on a young girl’s self-esteem.” Citing the unsustainable nature of such demand and the resulting drop in quality standards over the last few years—the focus on a model’s novelty rather than their readiness—the team sought to put the spotlight back on young women who could bring the designs to life through experience. “Not to take anything away from the current crop of runway girls, but I think anyone who attended the beautiful Colovos show this morning will have seen a marked difference in the energy and power these girls bring to a runway.”
That energy was highlighted within the collection, which paired each model with a look geared toward her personality. Nicole and stylist Jorden Bickham emphasized the power of the wearer. “For me, it was about celebrating women who wear clothes, not clothes that wear the woman. Much like the way Nicole wears her own line in the everyday,” said Bickham, who connected modeling’s revolving-door issue back to broader problems within fashion. “[It’s] taking a long, hard look at the fast and disposable nature of this industry as it relates to everything from trends, designers, seasons, and models.”
Bringing together the final lineup wasn’t easy, but for Nicole, the effort was worth it given the relationships the designers had with each girl and the star-filled end result. Putting the spotlight on fan-favorite models from five to 10 years ago isn’t the break-the-Internet supermodel reunion of, say, Versace’s Spring 2018 show, but it proves there are plenty of beauties over the age of 18 ready and willing to work. What’s more, they can bring just as much excitement as the latest celebrity daughter—something Nicole knows well. “It was really important for us to show and celebrate a diverse group of women who bring confidence, experience, and a sophisticated edge to the clothing,” explained Nicole. “We have a history with many of these models and it was so great to see them again—it was like a big family reunion backstage.”
