it is untrue, and sorry but just really a ridiculous claim.
Also people must realize something that they clearly don't.
the "real" board of an agency, is NOT what is on the web site etc...the girls really managed on a daily basis, are maybe just let's say 20% of the girls visible on web site etc...
same for the new faces, it can be on Next web site, IMG, or Women, i could link you in 2 minutes, at least 30 "new faces" still on web site on top agencies but who are completly out of modeling, since 1, 2 years or more...
Who said anything about every model on an agency's website being working models? Most of us here know that the vast majority of them barely ever work, even girls who were once BIG. But whether they work regularly or not, they are on an agency's board, no? So the agency reps them in some capacity.
The point was that someone was saying IMG was full of filler models and only a small number were stars. My response was that it is IMG is not unique in that respect.
It might be true that IMG has developed some girls to stars, but I think IMG also has a lot (and by a lot I mean tons) of girls who are officially with IMG, but don't get anything out of it because IMG does nothing with or for them. I'm pretty sure that for every girl on the website, there's at least another 3 or 4 other girls waiting to build their books and actually work through IMG. I know quite a few of them.
^ Well I think all networkers (IMG, Women, Next) have this scouting excess in common. Women is doing it a little bit differently as they hardly put newfaces online but the European offices (especially Milan) seem to sign such an incredible number of girls.
To me, the only one who really seems to do well on that view is Viva Paris.
Mila Krasnoiarova and Kat Zahkarchenko are no longer with Silent NY. I knew it! Mila didnt even do shows with Silent NY. Silent NY has lost all their girls. Cant wait to see where they end up.
Mila Krasnoiarova -> ?
Kat Zahkarchenko -> ?
