Her name(maybe she went by a last name too can't remember) is Petra.

Bev looks WAYYY better than Tyra to me. I am trying to find the picture of all three of them luxuriating. Bev was both of their friends, but Tyra and Naom didnt like eachother.

I think the key reason in that is Bev could hold her own, and Tyra couldn't. Bev knew she had to prove herself but unlike Tyra she did it by her work, not just wanting to be everyone's friend. B/C success brings you into the league of the Supers. Tyra just wanted in right away and couldn't get why she didn't fit/get in. Beverly had it worst, b/c not only she was she another blackmodel pitted against Naomi too, but she looked very similar to her. Heck they even called her Baby Naomi. She didn't cry or quit she kept going and had quite a career for herself up until 1996, too bad she got pregnant and other personal drama.

I think Bev would have been in the likes of Kate Moss if she would have continued as far as FASHION EXPOSURE goes. She has the look, and her look is more mainstream than Omi's in my opinion.

Who knows, but Kate isn't mainstream like the Supers(Cindy,Claudia,Naomi,Christy,etc), although she is a very successful model in her own right but so are the others. Bev had something like Kate(she had anyway) that Naomi(or the other Supers) didn't have and that was the pencil thin figure. But unlike Kate, Bev also had the height! But in her case we will never know, she got pregnant and it changed everything.

What a waste. I am so interested in Bev all of a sudden. I mean her looks are stunning and she was towering over Tyra today. Bev said she didnt want to be a model tho, so she stopped. Sad huh?

I say she did want to be a model, the business had changed so much for her and than with the end of the Super era it left a bad taste in many people's mouth, including the girls. But I'm here to tell you that baby hurt her career wise. I mean she was pencil thin and tall, so she could fit in with the Supers and the waifs. I've always loved her, but she is another one just like Brandi Quinones that I think what could've been. But in her day she was way hotter than Tyra. I'm so mad I missed her on that crazy talk show of her's. Towering over Tyra, funny I heard the same when Naomi was on the show. Tyra pales incomparison to the real Supers IMO.

I find it very interesting that Beverly was much more popular than Tyra and had a success more comparable to Naomi, and yet she was friends with Naomi. That kind of shoots down Tyra's theory that Naomi was jealous of a younger Black model on the rise coming to take her throne, no? Clearly, she would have also been "jealous" on Bev too, if that were the case.

Does anyone else know something about Bev's baby getting a one million dollar deal before she was born? Or something like that. I heard Bev was poised for even more greatness before she quit modeling.

Anyway, I like her and I'm glad she got off of drugs.

That's what I'm saying! Got it people, it takes TWO. Same with Iman,Brandi,Veronica Webb,Kara,Claudia Mason,etc they're all are cool with Naomi. I don't see Tyra hanging with blackmodels for real, like I did & still do with Naomi. But some how she is the evil one?! I find it just amazing and ridiculous at the same time. Tyra wanted to run with the big dogs before she did anything or paid her dues with them, not to mention she is very dramatic,points fingers and talks too much IMO. Too much hype with the fued and Tyra's modeling. I feel bad for Naomi. It's lonely at the top, especially if you're a minority.

I don't know about all that, there were tons of stories in those days about models since they were like celebs. But I don't think it's true. That baby,guys and her lifestyle brought her down IMO.

Hey, since Russell & the Kimora are no longer together she is a shoe in to be with Russell! You know he was after her, just like Naomi,Veronica,Gail O'Neil and several other blackmodels. Maybe she could do the Kimora thing, or at least be the girl of Russell, if he doesn't preach to Naomi first!
