Behind Her Eyes...

^^Thanks, me too, Dei is really on the very top of my list (that doesn't mean the other ones don't count ) then Luca... yes I wouldn't mind seeing her again, maybe even more in Paris than NY

I've just noticed I maybe missed another girl on my list, from Next. Of course there is Virginia Guidetti who seems to be really ready to make a good season but my biggest hopes there goes to Natalia Kozior (even if my favorite at Next remains Kristel Van Valkenhoef... well put her on the dark horses-list )

I would love for Luca to return.

I have trouble keeping up with all these new girls, they just keep coming and coming(I picture a tidal wave of young skinny girls washing up on shore and running to the nearest agency).

I think we'll be seeing a lot more from Georgina Stojilkovic, Karmen Pedaru, Anna Gushina, Ali Stephens, Jourdan Dunn, Agnete Hegulend, Viktoriya Sasonkina, Anna Maria Jagodzinska Abbey Lee and certain others who's names I cannot be bothered typing. I expect to see Arlenis doing well in New York but I'm not as sure about Europe, I think Sessilee could do well internationally. I think that girls like Ubah, Debevc Andrea, Martha Hunt, Maria Port, Sarah Gingrich and Sarah Tyler have potential to bring their NY agency's to a larger status but that depends on whether or not casting directors are kind enough to give them a chance. For some reason I can sense this season being the demise of Karlie Kloss, I don't know why but I just feel that way. I also think that Malin Ones may be that girl that is hailed as one of the top 10 new models of her breakthrough season yet completely bombs next season, I hope not though. I'll make a proper list later but I'm too tired right now.

^I feel the same about Malin for some reason...I had that feeling already during the FW 0809 shows...there's always one girl who turns out like that, like Lera Sheremata and Anna Mikhaylik have in previous seasons. I also feel that we will start seeing less of Suvi and Freja somehow...I wouldn't mind it, because I am tired of them on the runway...

Eniko will also be a huge star. Casting directors are already raving about her.

EDIT: And OMG does anyone know about Sophie Srej?? Her agency was keeping her under the radar apaprently and Meisel was 'interested' in her.

Will she be walking shows though? I'm guessing she'll skip NY and be an exclusive for Prada in Milan. She has the Prada look imo

^Not to be a nag, but haven't we already been over the Sophie Srej thing before? This was an unverified rumor from a third party source. I'd love to see her make a strong showing in Europe, but there's nothing at the moment that indicates momentum for this season.

I actually think Wayne's post from TI is quite important. This is the first season in a few where I feel like we've met a few of the biggest stars of the season already (aka a lot of carry over). This will be the first season where girls like Yulia Kharlapanova (who just seems to be made for runway), Martha Streck, Toni Garrn, Cato van Ee, Natalia Chabanenko, Tallulah Morton, Anna Selezneva, etc. are going to have their chances at full seasons. Then we have a group of girls that managed to build some substantial buzz (and god, I hate that world) over the summer months like Arlenis Sosa Pena, Sarah Stephens, Myf Shepherd, Jessica Cline, Waness Milhomem, Katrin Thormann, etc. What makes this interesting is that most of us are keenly aware of them at this point.

I'm always most interested in seeing which totally new faces will come out of no where (with no real previous experience), only to book everything in their wake. This season looks like there might be less spots that usual though. Then again the most truly compelling new kids are already being scouted by the likes of Marsh and Maida. Should make for an interesting season though.

Marc Jacobs is apparently already cast, with the models being very 'individual'.

There was a post about it on the imagist, maybe? But it said something like that

Well, the Sophie Srej tidbit was more than a rumor. But someone being "interested" doesn't have to lead anywhere. And it won't help her chances that people are already speculating about it. That's not exactly being under the radar.

I hope all the Vogue Italia buzz will have a general positive effect, not just more attention for girls like Jourdan and Sessilee. I'm really rooting for Kinee, Austria, Gracie Carvalho, Yaris (Ford are crazy for not pushing her!), Rahma, Georgie Baddiel. And Adama at Elite Paris - that girl has a SICK body!

^^^ good point!

None of these new girls are impressing me much. They're kind of boring.

In fact I like none of them

I'm hoping some ultra new faces will pop up otherwise this season is looking to be pretty average in terms of new faces.

I'm hoping that Daria Strokous will be big for Spring.Summer and also Malin Ones. And Daul Kim. I'm rooting for those girls.

I'm rooting for Ksenia Kahnovich, she did such an amazing job last season. I'm sure we'll also see a whole lot more of Georgina Stojiljkovic (well deserved, imo), Anna Gushina, and she's not my favourite at all but Anna Selezneva will probably sweep a few shows, too.

The other girls who I'm crossing my fingers to do well are Luize Salmgrieze, Margaryta Senchylo, Natalia Chabanenko, and Alexandra Tretter. Oh! After Michaela Kocianova's AMAZING last season I'm sure we'll see her everyhere as well.

Snejana needs to step her game up for SS09. I'd love to see her a Fashion Week regular again.

I have to agree. There are too many to keep track of ,so I really don't even bother trying.I'll keep track of the ones I care about. But a ton of these new girls are just totally blank.

My hopes...

Snejana(obviously, but I really want her to be a success this coming season). She can hold her own with all these new girls. Not to mention she's a runway staple.

Sessilee-her time of being overlooked is over.

Denisa-deserves more, has a powerful look

Iselin-two major campaigns this season, she should be there.

Masha Tyelna-one of the few newer girls that I like.

Deborah Smaniotto-she walked Gucci FW,but I can't seem to find anything on her.

Mathilde-I saw her on models.com, she reminds me of a cross between Snejana and a less severe Masha T. I want her to get big.

I totally agree about Yaris, Ford isnt really pushing for her success which meakes me really sad because she has a lot of talent and is a great model. My thought is that they dont really want her to be a competition for Chanel Iman which is their only successful ethnic model.

I also hope that Alenis Sosa does really well in New York and Europe. I have no doubt that Austria Ulloa Alcantara will be a sensation this september I cant really imagine why not, the girl has it all and is great on the runway.
