Ah those Wellesley girls... I think not being around guys that much drives them a bit nuts. At least the ones I dated hahaha!

As for the schools i've applied to (currently writing essays for secondaries):

Yale
HMS (both HST and New Pathways)
Columbia
Cornell
Mt. Sinai
NYU
UCLA
UCDS
UCSF
UC Pritzker
Northwestern
Mayo
Duke
Baylor
Vandy
Penn
Dartmouth
Brown
Hopkins
Stanford
Case Western
Rochester (my alma mater)
Georgetown

whew... yeah a LOT of essay writing. So far heard back from 16 of them for secondaries, now it's mostly the wait for interviews. Aiyaa....

Feel free to PM me about whatever, I check TFS way more than I probably should hahaha.

Damn, think about how much Dior you could've bought instead of paying those application fees :p . Good luck!

Holy Mary, mother of Jesus

The American application system sure is different to the English one.

I applied 19 grad schools a couple of years ago and the application fees were like robbing! I was told that they increased their fees dramatically in recent years. Well, those fees are nothing compared with the tuition though. So try to get a scholarship.
Good luck with the essay and the interviews!!

hahaha, thanks guys. Yeah primary apps for each school are $30, then secondaries are anywhere between $60-$115, then I gotta fly out for interviews... then tuition of course being around $38k a year.

I think my buying frenzy will be curbed in about a year hehe

Haha, I do sort of envy the European system. Although, US medical schools are quite top notch, you have to pay pay PAY for them.

I forgot to add in the cost of the MCAT (med school entrance exam, for all non US people) which is something like $150, but I had to get a hotel room because my test location was way outside of boston, plus meals, plus commuter rail... damn test was $400 hahaha.... oh and the prep course was a bit over a grand on its own.

Hooray!

Welcome!!!

It all depends on what your "scene" is really.

in the theater district and nearby there are a few pretty nice places:
Aria
Caprice
(the club under caprice just opened... I can't remember the name)
33
Mantra

In Cambridge by MIT there is Middlesex Lounge which is my favorite place in the city.... actually in both cities I guess you'd say.

If you want to slum it and just drink cheap drinks and have a drunken ridiculous time, then Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market is the place to go.

PM me if you want to know what else is going on!

Cheers,
Albert
