Why thank you. Can you pass that to everyone you know and get me a job?
i like where the store is in london...
it's near viv, yohji, stella
imo...
a LOT of new stores have opened in soho...
most of the empty spaces have been filled and i'd really like to see it regain some of its lustre...
the bloomingdales down here turns out to have a decent selection of menswear and cloak just opened their boutique in soho...
and there are still plenty of good stores...
yohji, IF, marni, mj, kirna zabete, vuitton, chanel, apc, agnesb...etc....
and seven (if it ever opens...lol)
so, i wouldn't mind seeing it on crosby street...
it's a quiet st and the cobblestone is charming...
but i think space is limited...
or...alternately...
the other side of w.bdwy...like mcdougal...
the west village proper...
the meatpacking district is intriguing...
it does have that 'edge'... simply by virtue of the aesthtic of the area...
lot's of cobblestone and meat lockers......
plus it's near the river's edge...
i think there is probably availablity...
though i don't think it's a margiela customer who frequents that area...
*i think it could be perfect in an old townhouse on a side street off bleecker...
a block or so from marc jacobs...
i would love to see a building like that turned into a shop...
plus, it would work so well with the philosphy of recycling/re-using that is mmm's signature... ...
might be zoning issues.......
hope they figure it out soon......
