Was it Mugler or Montana who had the depression?

His label still produces clothes though. Thierry Mugler Homme I believe.

I'm not sure whether this could be a help, but every piece is from A/W 04. (I can tell what each is from, if you're interested)

Fashionism - i am going too. I do like second and and Vintage - where do you go? Been to Clignacourt before but I must confess we got lost (& a bit freaked as me & my Mum were followed by a dodgy bloke there once) so didn't find the proper lothes market. Also been to Reciproque - didn't like it (although really cute puppies in the pet shop next door). Is there a place called Didier Ludot - is it £££?

Helena - well, I always go to Didier Ludot to have a look. I've made really good buys, but most of it is very, very expensive (At least too expensive for me) But of course stunning as well, very beautiful. I'd say go have a look. It's like l'Eclaireur, it's worth to go even though you're not buying anything.

Been to Cligancourt quite a few times and I have managed to get lost all the times I've been there. Most of it is pure crap to me. Like football shirts and all kind of souvenirs ... I've found some really good shops there though. Small boutiques that sold costumes and I bought an YSL dress there for a very small amount of $$$ I will highly recommend the market by metro station Porte des Vanves though. It's not as big, most of what they're selling is really good. Loads of vintage stuff. Also vintage designer. I once bought a gorgeous Dior clutch for no money. But I think there's a lot of (fashion) people there during Paris fashion week and then the prices go sky high!

I'm not going to be so specific as there are so many shops to mention but these streets should all have some really good shops to visit:

Rue des Rosiers, Rue Roi de Sicile, Rue Saint-Martin, Rue Ste-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie and Rue de Sévigné. These are all in Marais. I also like the street by Rue de Rivoli like Rue Vieille du Temple.

Hope you have a great trip

Thanks for all that - v. helpful. We only have two days in Paris (one a sunday - thank goodness for the jewish quarter!) so probably won't be able to do the usual relentless trawl that we usually do. I always get lost in the marais as well as clignacourt - so confusing! There is a great museum in the marais too - la musee de carnevalet - all about the history of the city. Really enjoy visiting it.

Thanks again for your help.

But of course we will! Its so hard trying to work out where we have time to go - we usually have a week in Paris you see. Discipline! Its so exiting for us as we don't have access to good shops her at all. We'll be like kids in a sweetshop!
