What's Daily Candy.

Isn't that a website.

My friend laughed the other day when I told him it was becoming a Rodeo Drive of DC..............and then the cross street there is Park Avenue. He thought it was so funny.

It's the more pricey stores, but good shopping still.

For this area, Tyson's is IT................there is just every store you could want just about it. The metro ride out there is very long. And then you need to take the bus.

Hey Diorling -- are you going to the Ralph Laurne trunk show?? I just got the email this morning, and since I live right there, I'm considering going.
Wait..How do you find out about trunk shows or get invited to them?

Ive seen them advertised and thought anyone could go?
Am I wrong?

I'm on their email list apparently and get stuff from them all the time concerning events etc.

Alot of the places like Neiman's etc. have similar lists.

They will send you emails regarding events and deals in your area.

During the Friends & Family before this past one, in like December, my SA told me that Bloomingdales was trying to have fewer sales in order to make them more upscale...They could've fooled me! They have some sort of sale or discount every other month...I still heart Bloomindale's though, they're my favorite department store.

Ianastar (how do you say your name BTW?) We should go shopping! Before we both leave the DC area, one last hurrah...BTW do you carry a Vuitton Damier Ribera? Just curious.
It has something to do with with Marketing. I am a Marketing major at UMD and learned that even though you are not shopping at a particular store..companies share information with one another.
They could get your info. through emails as well, if you sign up for something on a website your information is passed to on to another company.

Some company websites mention or show that your information is not shared(privacy).. I don't believe any of it. IMO.

Diorling...if there was onr piece of advice i could give you, it'd be this...don't move to NJ. East Rutherford is relatively close to the city...so that means prices will be disgusting . Anyway, I live maybe half an hour away from East Rutherford to the west...I live right outside Morristown (It's about 45 minutes west of the city).

Also, I hope you're gonna be spending a lot of time in NYC, coz NJ doesn't have much going on

Either way, good luck with ur move!

I plan on doing everything but sleeping/showering/etc in NYC. Because East Rutherford has NOTHING going on, which is kind of why I like it, very family friendly. I like that Short Hills is (relatively) close, and Garden State Plaza is closer plus NYC, I like options...

Thanks, moving is gonna be a nightmare, Im already getting cranky.

Shamigo I'm thinking of moving to the NYC..its been something I've wanted to do for some time. My Major is marketing and I'm wanting to go into the Fashion Industry..So your advice is awesome. What other fab places can I move to without the big expense?

I'm most scared about the cost of living and certainly don't want to move into the city but somewhere close..I have friends who live in Jersey and I don't like their location..(Prob Newark..eek). I have heard of Hoboken.
and that its costly too.
