Where to shop when travelling in ______?
I'm not sure if many people are interested in a thread like this, but...

I know that I do a fair bit of travelling and love to go shopping when abroad. I thought maybe people could post the best places to shop in their area.

I know I am interested in knowing about Barcelona and the Costa Brava, as well as the Côte d'Azur.

VANCOUVER:

1. All along Robson St.
Lower priced designer clothes like BCBG, Armani Xchange, and countless other clothing stores.

2. Betsey Johnson, LV, Wolford - all around Burrard St. & Alberni St.

3. Holt Renfrew - 633 Granville St.
Gucci, DvF, Christian Dior, Armani Collezioni, Giorgio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier, a McCartney...

4. Leone - 757 West Hastings St.
Versace, Jill Sander, Prada, YSL, and the likes.

5. Bacci Design Ltd. - 2788 Granville St.
Narciso Rodriguez, Dries Van Noten, Moschino...

6. Boboli - 2776 Granville St.
Yohji Yamamoto, Blumarine, Missoni...

6. DKNY - 2625 Granville St.

7. Blue Ruby - Pacific Centre, 1089 Robson St., many other locations.
Bijoux! Many designers, all price ranges.

8. Stéphane de Raucourt - 1067 Robson St.
Shoes, shoes and more shoes.

9. Chanel boutique - 900 West Hastings St.

10. Fab - 2177 4th Avenue West
Miss Sixty, C&C California, and the likes.

11. Harry Rosen - 700 West Georgia St.
I love to shop here for my brother. Hugo Boss, Armani Collezioni, Dolce & Gabbana... and Zenga's right beside.

And I'm sure some other Vancouver girls & guys could add some more!

I had mentioned when the links section got organized that it would be nice to divide the travel section into countries..with great links for every country..be it hotels, house rental websites, great outlets, boutiques, restaurants, bars etc ..but nothing has come of it..
As it is right now..the travel section under links is pretty thin..

I'd like to hear others input on this

Since you want to know about Barcelona, I thought I would give you some information. I have never been but on Tuesday, I am going for five days. I've heard the shopping there is great and there are loads of shops, including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Armani and loads more. I'm looking foward to going

Does anyone has any tips for Rome?
I'm going over a few weeks and I wonder where I can find vintage and shops which tourists most of the time don't see

I'll be in Athens next tuesday and I only have a day for shopping. Any suggestions, please?

If we are there only for a day, I would guess you will be staying in central Athens, so the Kolonaki iarea is the obvious choice if you have a lot to spend... Walk a bit in the streets around the square as they are all considered to be Kolonaki area...

Athenian high street is far from great I'm afraid... but they do have the usual Mango, Zara, Bershka etc... The streets Patision and Ermou would show you all the high street you need to see... All these are not far from each other...

Thank you, Melt977. How about some vintage shopping in Athens? Do I have any chances?

As far as I know, no, at least in the sense of thrift shops... there is one vintage "boutique" or two at Kolonaki, but quite overpriced... maybe Lena could help you with this... There is also a place called the American Market somewhere in Athens but I never was able to discover it, although I did try very hard... from a TV show I watched, it seemed interesting and thrift-y...
