Project 10 Pan
 

Has anybody heard of, or participated in Project 10 Pan? It's basically where you realise you have way too many beauty products, and try to use up 10 of your products before purchasing anything new... I am trying it out for skincare and haircare, and am trying out Project 5 Pan for makeup. (because I don't think I would use up 10 makeup products before the urge to buy something new kicked in!)

I will start when I actually use up something :shock:

^ I'm quite concerned about how long it's going to take me to use up any of my makeup :lol:

Ok I'm in! Today I went through all my makeup and skincare, and threw away anything I knew I wasn't going to use & was still left with a ridiculous amount. I want to finish off things that are half gone and in the end, control my impulsive spending and have a much smaller makeup bag with only things I love in.

The only things that really would probably need replacing are mascara & basic skincare - I hope that I'll be finished by the time I would switch to summer stuff anyway but I'll only replace those things until all of this is done & my ideal is that I'm finished by the time Chanel summer collection comes out :D I picked out the items I thought I would finish to encourage me to actually use them - some of them are nearly done, some not so much.

I had no idea there was a name for this!! I've been downsizing for months and usually put things in order of 10s (-10 = +1)
I haven't put things in categories though (makeup, skincare, hair products, etc). I think I have little enough (with room still to use up/get rid of more) that I'll keep with what I'm doing. I will say I feel tons better for doing this. Less guilt with shopping, more space, simplicity, and my skin has actually been better for putting less on it :)
