Bianca Balti Named L’Oréal Face
 

(wwd) Model and actress Bianca Balti has been appointed an ambassador of L’Oréal Paris. For the brand, she will appear in advertising for Preference hair color, Elvive Nutri Gloss hair care and Color Riche lipstick.
Balti has modeled for labels such as Chanel, Dolce & Gabanna and St. John. Most recently, she was the face of Karl Lagerfeld’s Karleidoscope fragrance.

Balti started her acting career with a role in “Go Go Tales” in 2007. She is also the Italian sponsor of SOS Children’s Villages. Other L’Oréal Paris ambassadors include Beyoncé Knowles, Rachel Weisz, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez and Hugh Laurie.

I am surprised by this. i wonder if the ads will be marketed in the US.

We'll probably see her in print ads but not so much in commercials here in the US.

shes a perfect fit for such a mega company, she has the look and personality to carry a Loreal campaign amongst the celebrities.

She's one of the most beautiful woman in the world IMO, she really has nothing to envy to all the L'Oréal celebrity faces. And she indeed as a greta personality so I'm really not surprised by this. Congrats to her :clap: :clap:

I'm not surprised by the fact that she got this.. I'm more surprised that a MODEL got this.. Great for Bianca though! She's beautiful! And with that hair, it's no surprise that she's getting all the hair work!

I just hope she doesn't get all.. Household famous? (don't know if that's what I want to call it..) and then people start making a big debacle about her backstage video at DSquared2.. I can see it happening now..

I wouldn't say they don't sign models since Doutzen and Laetitia (although more known as an actress) are their current faces and they also recently signed Liya Kebede too.

Bianca is literally having a hot streak with all of her current successes this season and a major cosmetics contract is basically the cherry on top :woot::heart:. Very deserving.

liya kebede was announced as a l'oreal face in may. but i've yet to see any of her ads. :unsure:
i wonder if bianca's ads will be similarly delayed. or maybe they will be restricted to the medit. region.

She's very gorgeous, in a very conventional way (full lips + deep blue eyes and that's about it, kind of like Emily Didonato), but she is cut for a beauty contract and for a brand as commercial as L'Oreal, I only hope they know how to capture her, they've been getting it wrong in the last years, the prettier the model is, the more generic she looks in print (Natalia Vodianova's ads for instance were so bad, which doesn't make sense considering what she looks like in candids!).

She's perfect for this brand.
