Marc Jacobs "Dot" Fragrance : Codie Young by Juergen Teller
 

I wonder if people even notice when a new Marc Jacobs fragrance is out when every ad campaign for every one of them always looks the same.
I adore Codie and she looks great but this whole child-looking model/actress awkwardly holding up a perfume bottle concept, shot by Teller, is so tiring.

I find it is a lovely ad. Very summery and calm. Codie is a nice choice for this.

Im so happy for Codie. I actualy like this one, but I agree it looks always the same.

at least the circular crop of the image is a bit different though, right?

I agree though... would love for Marc to get a different look, but I think Juergen Teller kind of fits with his grungy past...

His stuff could really be shown off in such a different, more appealing way though.
Very rarely do I see a Marc Jacobs ad and think, "I want that"

wow, he is really pumping out the fragrances fast! :shock:

i've noticed that a lot of his other fragrances ie. bang, the seasonal splashes, lola, daisy etc. are now all at discount stores in the US now.

i wonder if this fragrance is aimed at the junior set.

at least, this ad is better than the bang ad. :unsure:

I love every single Marc Jacobs campaigns, probably because I love Teller's aesthetic. Yes it does look the same but its still lovely and im happy for Codie!

I think the campaign has achieved what it's supposed to. The bottle is very interesting, and it makes me want to smell what's inside. That's the point of selling a fragrance, right?

i think this is far more interesting because of Codie's eyes. she is so innocently haunting in this shot. im sold

Codies eyes are so piercing. Typical Teller but for me it always works for Marc Jacobs, even with the (almost too) simple posing.
