It looks like a cheesy British tabloid cover. Like Grazia or something. The yellow background is really awful and it makes Selena look washed-out. Shame really, because it probably would have been a decent cover without the yellow background and the terrible font.

I am so disappointed by their cover choices this year. I don't think i'll be re-newing my subscription.

I don't get the point of the yellow background. I really wish that Elle would get out of the studio for their cover shots, with the plain background and overwhelming amount of text their covers are just suffocating to look at. I think their best covers last year were their outdoor ones with Mila Kunis and the VS models.

Although I do like how the photo they chose to use is a bit unconventional, with her hair over her face.

The layout ruins the decent image. As you have said, the yellow background and the J-14 Magazine font is unaccpetable for a fashion magazine like Elle. However, this edition is now pure trash, I cannot remember when was the last time that I liked one of their covers. Who is the current editor and why does she still have the job? I'm not really fond of her facial expression here neither

I love it! :shock::heart::lol:.. it would've been perfect if they hadn't chosen to put her name like that.. it cheapens it, other than that this reminds me of V/Pop stuff from the mid 00s, I find the yellow font and the gaudy shirt pretty refreshing amongst the perfectly 'ethereal'/natural/outdoorsy aesthetic we've been seeing over and over in the past two years.

I had bought US Elle for quite a few years up until the end of last year, I had quite a collection, but decided it was time to tune out. I have to say I don't miss having it, and the past few issues - Kristen, Rihanna and now this make me know I made the right decision. This is a pretty lame cover, created from what is essentially not at all a bad image. Bad colour, bad text written over it, and then the pure cramming in off tag lines too.

Her left hand does look a little odd to me though.
