Juli.
For weeks, speculation about the new campaign theme of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The photographers and models in the past few seasons, names such as Terry Richardson, Lara Stone, Jessica Stam, Julia Stegner, and Nick Knight are considered great promise that the next season brings two exceptionally exclusive Fashion Week figureheads.
Yesterday evening we reached the editorial, the digital edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week magazine, which finally surrendered the final motif. The Puerto Rican supermodel Joan Smalls was shot by Mario Testino as a high-amazon in black. Your Partner: A half cloaked in sheets Mercedes-Benz CLS. The photo is not an exclusive way, Berlin-motif, but the official face of all Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. With all the international credibility they can go, then, the new spring / summer of 2013. The launch is the German capital from the 4th July.

Seen her only half a second in the campaign video though...
"I love everything Prabal does—every woman wants a piece in their closet," Joan Smalls told Style.com last night at Indochine, where the designer Prabal Gurung and his friends Diane von Furstenberg, Jenna Lyons, and Liu Wen, among others, were toasting his recent Resort collection. And when she said every woman, Smalls wasn't kidding: "He hasn't given me a piece," she said. "I think we need to talk about this."
She may not have a dress just yet, but the man of the hour, or rather the "man of the longest day of the year," as the evening's host, MAC's John Demsey, put it, had some kind words for his supermodel friend during his speech. "I grew up when all the supermodels were on the covers, and in Nepal I used to see Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, and everyone, and I was like, 'One day I will go to New York.' To see that happen to you, Joan"—he meant her new W magazine cover—"I was like, 'Damn, no she didn't.' But behind that success is years and years of perseverance."

here's a snap of Joan's shot for givenchy! :flower:
I'm glad she's working for Givenchy again. I hope she can continue to be a regular for the brands she has done campaigns for as she first started to take off; I would hate for her to become a commodity that starts to fade as soon as a new ethnic face starts to get some attention (like what has happened with other v. prominent black models in the past few years)
