I like this image a lot as a whole but I'm not a fan of the oversized necklace. Penélope's facial structure is perfect and they captured it as it had to be done, it looks very chic. Cannot wait for the contents, W's fashion issues usually stand out from the rest of generic US publications.

I don't mind the abundant hair at all since logo placement is on point.

That'd be rather untypical then, for a Spanish woman, no? :lol::heart: I think the expression is just right; and it's titled 'The passion of...' so there you go - the piercing gaze says it all.

I don't like this. That necklace is seriously ugly, it ruins that otherwise very classic and intense image, it adds too much tackiness. I agree that the hair looks fantastic, though. And you know it's a boring period in fashion when articles about IT-Girls and Choupette Lagerfeld get a mention on the cover of the big Fall fashion issue. Hopefully at least all the fashion editorials will be good.

Honestly without the crazy necklace this cover would've been one of the best of the year. I just love a beautiful woman in a great black turtleneck. Besides with the big hair and minimal make-up there's strong a late 80s early 90s feeling yet the necklace is so out of place!! I love Edward Enninful but he made a big mistake here.
As for Penelope , even though she's not my favourite actress I can almost always count on her to give good pictures. She really is one of the most photogenic actresses out there.

I hate the cover and it's certainly not like the one they did three years back having the same photographers and actress. Hope for some good editorials though since its the issue I am waiting the whole year for W. The biggest issue! ;-)

I think this looks pretty good. There's definitely something vintage that's going on. Although I'd have to agree with the necklace, I think it looks bad.

The W logo is just crazy. :lol: Mert and Marcus surely knows how to photograph her. Although I still prefer her August 2008 cover.
