he did a series of polaroids called "66 polaroids that never existed" and pretty much read my mind. he's amazing. (i'm putting the 66PTNE in illustration because they're not real pictures...it would be impossible to take pictures of this stuff!)

oh, that's really nice ... reminds me of propaganda posters (or neo rauch being inspired by them) mixed with magritte ... a bit ghostly but beautiful.

i totally agree, anna...i was on deviant art for a while a long time ago but i deleted my account because i was just really disenchanted by the work and some of the people..some of the work is really bad...but luckily i became friends with julien before that happened! i'm hoping he'll want to have a show in my gallery :woot:

It's the umbrellas that remind me of Magritte but that seems to be the only identifiable element to me :p
Goodness I really like this. I should clear time to do some collage art in Photoshop as well, I love that. When I had a site a few years ago it was mostly in the style of pic 5 + 6 btw. Those are the only ones that I don't like so much :ninja:

He must be getting a fair amount of jobs. He'd be perfectly capable of creating a Franz Ferdinand cover, I just feel he's the right person for it :p
