I must come clean. I hardly read Vanity Fair so can't really comment on Saltzman's work, but I can certainly comment on her style. She is a woman of trademarks, namely that gorgeous mane of hair and her sleek collum dresses. Deceptively simple.
And Tom Ford adores her. All images from www.style.com |

Read How to lose friends and alienate people by Toby Young. She's in it alot and has the great line 'Me , Myself and I' when someone asks her why she wants three very hard to get tickets to a fashion show( for Toby , No less )

What fashion does the woman actually direct in VF? Hardly any fashion it. I never quite understood what her title actually meant.

Was she on vacation when the Tom Ford cover was put together? B) |
^no need for sarcasm,ta-ta
Big deal she does the celeb crap. If that's all she does I'd like to see what she's really like when she's actually working on a shoot. I hope she doesn't break a sweat. To me,her title is too novelty to and attaches an unnecessary importance to what she really does at that mag. Because frankly she doesn't do much at all. |
For everybody who wonders what Elizabeth does.
On elizabeth's desk is a framed picture of Si Newhouse , who owns Conde Nast , the publishing company which in turn publishes Vanity Fair. In the picture Si is holding a baby. The baby is Elizabeth Saltzman. She points this out to everyone who works at Vanity Fair. |
Well, that certainly answers alot of questions. Must be lovely not to have worked hard and struggles to gain success in this business. ick! I can't stand when people are given positions purely on the basis of their status as an elitist. Kind of like the Sykes sisters-they never worked a day but because their family is so well-known(and well off)they were offered their current positions.
And I find the fact that she shows this picture to everyone a wee bit pathetic and desperate...almost as if she wants people to realise how important she really is. |
Well all of the fashion industry and many others are full of nepotism. But the sykes sisters.....Plum is a disgrace to authors everywhere
