Joanne K. Rowling

Joanne Katherine Rowling is a name that needs no further explanation.
A woman who can create such brilliance as the Harry Potter world can hardly be lacking in style! :p

^I love her! Thanks for creating this thread, CT.

JK Rowling is such a brilliant woman whose impact on children's literature today is indelible. I studied english literature in college, so I've read a fair share of books, plays, poems, etc. and never has a story enthralled me so much as the Harry Potter series does. Genius.

TheGlassAngel 06-09-2006 06:44 PM

She is brilliant. Harry Potter is under-rated in the sense that it is not a kid's bok. Seriously, anyone who has ever read the books can tell you that.

Wow, she once had red hair! Amazing what you learn about someone when you start looking for pics. I like her better with blonde hair, though. :D

There a number of pics of her on this page: http://home.freeuk.net/webbuk2/harrypotter.htm (too many to post here). I highly recommend the page because the photos of her on it are so casual and relaxed and like so few we get to see, nothing like the red carpet pics. I verify it is only a fanpage. They are not selling anything. I am not a conduit between "you and them" trying to peddle any products. It is just a page with pics of Ms. Rowling revisiting her old home in Gloucestershire. (Now she lives outside of Edinburgh, I think?)

As far as style goes, of the pics posted, in post #5, picture #6 is a beautiful hairstyle for her.:innocent:

i heard she got a nose job. i don't find her attractive or stylish. I wonder if Tolkein was stylish too?

:p A very clever remark, good attempt to be funny. But you know Tolkien was highly stylish. And it's Doctor Tolkien. the guy had more Oxford PhD's than God or something. Gotta love those Oxbridge tweed's. I do.;)

impossibleprincess 08-09-2006 04:38 PM

i'm sorry i don't see it.

tifa 08-09-2006 05:02 PM

I imagine she's the kind of person who if she saw this thread she'd probably laugh her head off.

JFCoelho 08-09-2006 06:42 PM

She definitely looks better as a blonde. I think she looks quite pretty and interesting, not cookie cutter in any way.

Umm... her middle name is Kathleen, not Katherine  :D.
I love her, she's the greatest.
