Help Prada style headband DIY
Anyone have any ideas on how to make this... because I really dont feel like spending $400+ for it lol. (pic for papworld.com)
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...ashley4gj7.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...ashley4gj7.jpg If I take a thicker silk & tie it I get a knot that looks similar or if you have any thoughts about that? As far as the rest how would I go about putting hidden elastic? I think it would need some stretch & I dont think I want the elastic to show if I wear it like the photo. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :flower: |
The easiest way (and maybe the lazy way) to do it would be to just tie a strip of silk around your head, make a knot and fold the extra under. The knot is the only thing that makes it different from other headbands..if you want to experiment with elastic casings, here are some tutorials:-

I actually really like that! It's cute and i like the sort of diyness to it. It doesn't look like 'rough' or anything, just right. And one of the girl took a picture to her tailor and he apparently was able to whip one up for her asap. So i'm sure you could also do that.

I already posted this on the turban topic in trend spotting, but here goes
it's a 100cm x 100cm scarf folded into a triangle, rolled and then knotted, the ends are hidden inside http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums...4&d=1174477256 |
^^ Wow, that's so cute! I love the material you used with the yellow chains.
