Coloured tights

Can we talk about this streetstyle trend that is clearly happening in a BIG way this fall...?

all you have to do is take a look at our WAYWT thread to see tons of examples..
with all the low booties and short skirts/dresses...
legs have become a new focal point...
and so has colourful hosiery...

**are you doing this ...???

**what are some of YOUR favourite colours and how do YOU like to wear them...

**have you seen anyone wearing them really well or combining some interesting colours...

post some pics!!!..

:woot:

I'd rock this look a lot more often if it wasn't so cold all the time. It's definitely something I take to in the early fall/late spring however. At the moment I only have mustard and red... but I'd like plum and blue as well.

I want to wear these too. I love them.
Do they make your thighs look bigger?

Not necessarily, but I always find dark coloured tights more flattering ^_^

So far I only have black, grey and purple. I'd love to get red ones, they can really spice up your outfit :woot:

I wouldn't say it was new...I lived in grey , navy and purple last year. Will be the same this year , I wish I'd bought some of those wolford glittery ones now...

Here's an interesting color combination. I wouldn't have thought yellow, grey, ivory, and burgundy would look so good together.

I recently bought a pair of distressed purple suede boots (more like a light, faded purple). I'm thinking of pairing it with tights in a light purple color. What do you guys think? Would it be too much purple?

softgrey 09-11-2007 11:44 AM

that is a great example from the sartorialist...

that is the sort of thing i am talking about...
BOLD colour!..not necessarily bright...but UNEXPECTED...

teal, persimmon, goldenrod, olive green, plum, silvery grey...
very sort of fall colours...
not your basic navy and brown...
that's not really a colour imo- that's just a hair away from black..

Not opague but I love the colour I think it's unusual and I'm a huge Sonia fan.
