I can't believe there isn't a thread for this amazing show! It really is one of the best shows on TV.

i'm so obsessed with dexter! i've already seen the last episode and let me tell you it was amazing. I can't wait until season 3!

I have season 1 on dvd and watch it constantly.
Season 2 is good but I was dumb and read spoilers online and am dreading the finale.

Congrats to MCH who was nominated for a much deserved GG.
Nobody else could be Dexter so well, IMO.

Yes, I wasn't disappointed with the finale. (spoiler in white)I am sad that Doakes had to die, but I think what happened to him turned out the best for Dexter. He didn't have to send an innocent man to prison and he didn't have to turn himself in (/spoiler)

What did you think of the Lila character?... And the actress that played her.

^ I hate her. Her facial expressions are so annoying.

I watch Dexter with my dad, it's our thing ^_^
I didn't really like the first season though :ermm: The second is deeper, more subtle I guess.

I liked the build up of the ITK in the first season much more than the plot this season.
I almost died when I realized who Rudy was- poor Deb.

Where are the episodes available online? I missed last week and the week before, and i'm dyin without my dexter fix. Can anyone help me out?

My feelings about Lila can be summed up in the words of Deb, "She's obviously a vampire...a gross, English, titty vampire". But seriously, I hated Lila the second she appeared. (highlight for spoiler)thank god dexter killed her /spoiler.

It's so well written! Also, the guy who plays Dexter is pefect for it.! :shock: I quite like the show...don't always have time to catch it, but I've enjoyed it each time.

I hate lila...but i love her clothes.

I can't believe we didn't have a Dexter thread either! This is by far one of my most favorite shows! Brilliantly written, acted, and executed. Michael C. Hall is awesome (I liked him in SFU, but he's genius in Dexter). Has anyone read the book that the first season is based on? Apparently it's a series of books but the second season doesn't follow the story line of the second book.

I'm so glad there's a thread for this show!! I'm so obsessed. It started last year when I came home for winter break and caught it on Showtime on Demand...I didn't leave the house for two days, just watched it with my grandma! Now my whole family is hooked; at first they thought I was weird for being so in love with the show, but now we all watch it together.

Am I the only Lila lover here? I thought Jaime Murray was brilliant (and so beautiful it was almost distracting!). spoiler my only problem with the finale was the way Dexter killed Lila...so he just takes off for Paris and kills her in her hotel room, but how on earth does he dispose of that body? end spoiler

I think that everything about this show is amazing, from the casting to the writing and the way it is shot, and MCH definitely deserves the GG nod!

I would like to read at least the first. I don't know if I have the guts though. I hear the killing is very detailed.
I have also heard the first is very good, the second not so much and the third is total crap.

Annabel- I think he leaves it there. No connection to him. She didn't seem to have any family anyway and was sort of in the wind.:unsure:
As far as Lila I think the character was supposed to get hated on so the actress did a great job.
As far as looking at her something about her face bugged. Too much Botox maybe?...

I just read yesterday that the actors that play Dex and Deb are dating in real life.:shock:

Good point, english. She was probably using an alias, and no one would have been able to link her death in Paris to her ex-lover in Miami.

And I think you're right-most Dexter fans hate Lila, which is what the writers intended. I suppose I misspoke when I said I "love" her; what I love is what JM did with the character, how she portrayed her. (I have a bit of a girl crush, lol :heart:)

I'm really curious to see where they'll go next season (I'm crossing my fingers that the strike ends soon!), since things wrapped up so thoroughly with the finale. They could do just about anything.
