But which kind of English. I obviously speak English-English, me being English and all that jass. What kind of English do you speak? I'd be interested to know how tFS-ers who aren't native English speakers pronounce words.
Personally, I much prefer the American 'mom' to the English 'mum' and also the way some Americans pronounce 'mall' like 'maul'. |
Prince, my vocab is totally saturated with americanisms. some of my friends who i havent seen for a while are like
its cause i spend literally my whole school year with americans and plus my mum is part american i do prefer a lot of wrods they use.........apart from the pronounciation of VITAMIN! |

must be my London education.. it's purely english/english to me, much more when spoken with a foreign accent... (love Marlen D. kind of english)
still if i was born in england, i'd probably add americanisms here and there.. |
I speak American English, New Yawk English to be exact.....that just means I add the occasional W to words that don't usually have them.
I actually don't really like one English better then the other but I do hate the slang some Americans come up with, but the English have slang too so I guess it's pretty balanced. |
I learned English in Ukraine from my grandmother who spoke (and taught) english-english.....lived in America for many years....
Have a strange Russian/English/NY accent...and pronounce my t's as t's (not D's) |
