Victoire de Castellane - Dior Fine Jewelry Designer
A thread dedicated to current Dior Fine Jewelry designer Victoire de Castellane.
Victoire worked for Chanel for fourteen years before starting at Dior. I find her attitude towards designing so inspiring. She gets so excited when talking about the things she creates and has an almost child-like view of the world, colourful and shiny things delight make her so excited!

(how freakin' great is that Chanel bag!)

easily my favorite designer at the house of dior at the moment. i'm surprised she's allowed to spread her creative wings so far when others at the house find themselves constrained by management.
I love her work @ Dior..Looks just as intricate as the handiwork in the grandest HC pieces..
Great youtube clip:
Thanks for making this thread! I have been a fan of hers for ages. I will post some pieces by her soon that I have collected.
Here is an interview she did for Style.com a while back.
i love her to bits
^ she's so charming, non ?
i love how she collects snowglobes and japanese toys
the stepmother ring is to die for, i think what she creates for dior is outstanding and wacky like they belong in alice in wonderland
These pieces from her Skull collection are f*cking amazing.
Here are pictures of the entire collection for anyone interested: http://www.kenembijoux.com/wp/2009/0...-dior-jewelry/
oh man I love her stuff, but it bummed me out that she thinks one should never wear earrings with glasses...I wear glasses everyday of my life and adore earrings...
there was actually an article about her on the Air France magazine several years ago. she said her favorite material in the world is SUGAR cause you can do many different shapes and textures with it, it can be dyed, etc etc
and i totally agreed with her
Thanks everyone for their pics and vids! My friend was in Paris last week and saw the skull rings in Dior, he said they are even better in real life!
Does anyone have a pic of her in her studio?
Love her! :D
The video is great, she is great and her designs are mesmerizing.
I read a very interesting interview with her in Purple magazine fall/winter 2009 issue, maybe someone will post it here. Unfortunately, I do not have a scanner.
A pic i found on Tumblr:
