What about Woody Allen? You'll have some really good ones, some stinkers, some funny, some dramatic. He always has excellent ensemble casts. He has tried lots of different things: fantasy, darker dramas, realism, even a musical. You don't have to go in order either. But anyhow, he has a huge oeuvre!
