hmm I guess so. especially if you think about the fact that you say come and go in english while you'd say "go and come" in japanese, that basically in english the focus, the new/unmarked, etc are put at or towards the end of a sentence, in japanese the other way round.
anyway maybe here he tries to see "usual day" as a miracle that happens regularly.
