Lindsay Lohan misses flight to Washington for Correspondents' Dinner after partying at Hollywood hotel
She is well known for her penchant for partying in the face of more pressing matters.
And Lindsay Lohan was at it again today,
missing her flight after partying into the early hours of this morning.
She was supposed to be flying from Los Angeles to Washington DC to attend the prestigious White House Correspondents' Dinner this weekend.
However she risked missing out on the chance of being in the presence of President Barack Obama after after she spent the night partying at Hollywood hotel Chateau Marmont.
The actress, 25, had been filming a guest starring role on Glee and was seen arriving at the celebrity haunt with a friend after midnight.
She stayed until the earlier hours and was seen canoodling with a mystery man at the venue.
A host of big names are attending the Correspondents' Dinner, which usually takes place in the style of a roast, with the President frequently the butt of the lion's share of the jokes.
And this year is sure to be in the same style, as it is being hosted by sarcastic late night star Jimmy Kimmel.
Gerorge Clooney was on the flight missed by Lindsay, while other stars attending include Sofia Vergara, Stephen Spielberg and Charlize Theron.
Refusing to discuss why she missed her flight, her spokesman Steve Honig told the MailOnline: 'I don't know and who really cares? She will be at the dinner.
'Lindsay will be attending with Shawn Holley. She will not be giving a speech. '
Lindsay, 25, was invited by Fox News host and former lawyer Greta Van Susteren, and she will be joined at the table by reality television personality Kim Kardashian.
Explaining her decision to invite Lindsay on TMZ, Van Susteren said: 'I love comebacks, and I'd like her to succeed.
'She's got a new movie and I'm hoping things work out for her.'
However she was attacked on Twitter for making the left field choice by John McCain's daughter Meghan, who accused her of hypocrisy after she refused to attend the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association Dinner as it was hosted by Louis CK.
She tweeted: 'Let me get this straight Greta Van Sustern is bringing Lindsay Lohan to the WHC Dinner but has a moral offense to Louie C.K?'
