Just finished The Poet by Michael Connelly, which is a good potboiler, uses Edgar Allan Poe quotes as the murderer's signature, and We Need to Talk about Kevin, which is as good as the film if not better because you get so involved with the first person narration and really come to know more about the couple. You get their backstory, before they had kids, and it's so sad how they were torn apart because of that. That impacted me more in the book than in the film, which is more just about Kevin and his mom.

Am now reading Gothic Histories by Clive Bloom and may start The Help.
