Every time I want to subscribe to a thread, the ad also makes sure to 'roll over' the "Thread Tools" area so that I cannot do so. Also you have to be very patient and very slowly click on "Close" in such a deliberate way, or else the ad will not actually close. Sometimes, if you click "Close" in a not deliberate enough way, the ad will open larger instead.
95% of the time, the ads on this site do not interfere with the functionality of the site for me, so I do know that it is possible for you guys to use ads that do not do this. This is just my opinion -- as this thread is called "Report Tech Issues with Popups and Advertisements" I thought this would be a relevant post.
The ad currently doing this is the H&M "The Pants Collection" ones.

I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand this suggestion. I
only ever search in the sub-forums. I never search in the forum at large. So I think this issue must happen in the sub-forums as well.
