I had no idea what to expect because beyond having a very vague idea of the story of Chris McCandless I didn't know what the book would be about or how it would be structured. I enjoyed it and it kept me captivated throughout but at times it seemed to drift off of the path a bit. I watched the movie this past weekend too and they really played up the story of Chris & his parents, which I found interesting because it was never harped on about as much in the book.
