So true, she made all the right decisions in how to approach this role. Others might have made it more showy but her subtle approach gave the film another layer and completely different edge. She let it out at just the right times and just enough for the character to not go overboard.

While the character development wasn't as in your face as in other films the final scene definitely sealed it for her.

I can also see why Rooney Mara was previously considered and could have seen her do a good job as well, but not sure if she could ever deliver the way Chastain does here.
