If anyone cares... from FWD:

Lesley Jane Seymour has resigned as editor in chief of Marie Claire.
Hearst Magazines president Cathleen P. Black confirmed Seymour’s exit this afternoon and has named Joanna Coles, executive editor of More, her successor. Coles will join Marie Claire on May 15.
Seymour had been editor in chief of Marie Claire since 2001.
“I’m very impressed with Joanna’s experience in both magazines and newspapers, covering everything from current affairs and politics to fashion and features,” Black said in a statement. “She has an innate talent for what’s newsworthy and absolutely has what it takes to lead an international magazine brand like Marie Claire.”
Coles, 43, has been executive editor of More since September 2004. From August 2001-August 2004, she worked at New York magazine, where she edited the magazine’s bi-annual fashion issues. From May 1998-August 2001, Coles was the New York bureau chief of The Times of London. Previously, she worked for The Guardian, BBC Radio, BBC2 TV and The Daily Telegraph.
“I have always been a huge fan of Marie Claire and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to put my stamp on a title that has influenced so many others in the industry with its mix of fashion, beauty and real world issues,” Coles said in a statement. “In my years as a foreign correspondent for The Guardian and The Times of London, I had the chance to cover international issues, something that has always been an integral part of Marie Claire.” Coles added, “Marie Claire is for women who are not only smart but also stylish. I feel confident that I can give readers exactly what they need from this magazine.”

Liv Tyler is on the cover of May Jane.
