The Art of Gift Wrapping and Card Making
I love to find unique ways of wrapping presents and doing my own cards. People seem to appreciate the extra thought put into making the wrapping of the present look like them.

I try to make boxes people can keep, I've painted wooden and cardboard boxes that people now use for jewelry boxes and I do a origami "puzzle" box that people just seem to love to keep. I make really over the top personalized birthday cards for people and always have a stash of blank cards I've made ready to just write quick thank yous, instead of just saying it.

Do any of you custom gift wrap or make your own cards? I can't be the only one whose art is obsessive presentation, right?

I do a gift exchange thing with my friends who are here only for the summer so here's some of my current crafts.

Justin and I painted at Color Me Mine and painted almost a whole set of dishes, except for some sauce containers. I replicated his designs and its japanese style soy sauce containers, hence the origami fish and shells.

Not really leaving, but made soemthing for Jason. I made dog cookies for his dog and he thought it was cookies and loved it. So I baked him some and put it in a girly bag which I'll label with his dogs picture and put "Dogs Only".

Origami Puzzle box with a shell on top to hold a ring for Josh.

Fuschia Felt Rose. I made because I couldn't sleep last night. Maybe I'll use it in a future gift, but for now I enjoy it on my computer table.

No custom cards right now, but some left over summer blank cards...I'm running low and school is going to start so I'll definitely make some this week and have something more to show soon.

I just bought some amazing rice paper with gold painted patterns so I have some really good blank cards for fall.
