a little off topic - I bought some Burda patterns online recently - when I came to make them I found that I was a size 18. Now I've just had a baby but I a size 18....
I rechecked, double checked, got depressed about gaining so much weight, couldnt believe and rechecked the measurements all over again. I was still a size 18 (almost a 20........).
Figuring I had just gained a lot of weight due to the pregnancy as all the measurements added up I proceeded to make the first dress.
I completely didn't fit me.
I had to alter it once I had sewn it together and it still hangs oddly. I really don't know where it all went wrong as I have again rechecked the measurements etc (making sure I was using cm's not inches and vice versa) and I am still a size 18 on Burdas measurements (although usually a 12 or 14, I've decided to create a size 13 for myself
).
I'm really not sure what the moral of my story is but it was annoying to say the least. I hope you have better luck than I did!
