I wholeheartedly relate with the desire for experimentation, and inclination toward 'grand scemes'; fashion is a form of constant experimentation for me, though there is definitely an underlying cohesiveness, and very little uncertainty. I do definitely love the Taste, Luxury, Humor motto and have related to it on more than one ocassion, even though my definition of luxury is often atypical, and taste is a given.
