Are your watercolors B&W or "sépia" ones? "halftone" means "demi-teinte"?

Make a 300 DPI scan of the illustration (B&W or color),save it as a JPG file or convert it as PSD file in photoshop.(very often one have to "clean" the scan and PSD file keeps the quality and info of color for each pixel).

Do you mean you want/have to do yourself offset printing screen film(you speak of frequency and size of dot," offset printing dot"?) ?
Usually, you give the file (JPG or PSD, sometimes EPS)to the printer (or the graphic designer) they convert your file from "three screen color"(RedGreenBlue)(the computer image file mode) in the four printing color(CyanMagentaYellowBlack), and then after make the offset printing film screen.
