I am no expert in this but I mean, there really isn't a thing as impossible, if you would like to study fashion for one year then come out and start your own line, then by all means do it.
But you better make the most out of that year, work really hard, use that year to learn all the things that normal people taking the whole course would take 2/3 years to do. Then you will benefit a lot
The choice is on you, if you want to make it big without much practice/expertise, then you just have to work hard and be your own teacher
There are loads of designers out there who never had any proper fashion training but is regarded as one of the best in the industry.
Although those people are often the exceptionals and minorities, you can just be anyone of them if you work hard. and also LUCK
