^ I agree. I think people are just over the whole giant hype thing. Even the bags from bigger companies are really sort of understated and more about the bag than any sort of celebrity hype or must have status. Even the bags from the major labels are rising due to word of mouth rather than the fact that some star is wearing them. Case in point the thread for the YSL MuseTwo. No celebrities have even been seen with that yet but people are very excited / interested in it because it just looks interesting and it doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME!!" I think all YSL's bags have that quality - though I suppose some of them are reformed it bags Same with the Givenchy Nightingale, I think its so popular because nothing about it says it bag - it just says good quality.

At the end of the day I think it really boils down to whether or not you like something. Most people outside of fashion appreciators have absolutely no idea where your bag comes from or whether or not its from a designer label. They only know if it looks good or not.

Its kind of funny though since the bags they mention (such as the Marni and Lanvin) are sort of It in a sense. That Marni balloon tote was in every magazine.
