I think this applies to a lot of countries
also Canada
We can do a lot ourselves.. develop our own talents and expertise in our countries
like the Europeans and Japanese.. the advance textile technology they have that isn't available elsewhere

Just working with a studio here
(our own manufacturing shop)
you can easily fix a problem .. such as prints that don't fit on a fabric or design flaws,
issues that would be harder to maintain if the head/main designer is in a different country as the production area

imo They could add benefits to work at factories I guess
to make it more appealing
like pay for holidays and long vacations
or 'prizes' .. Work up to 2 months and you get free trips to the spa that kind of thing
