.....joan bennett was certainly a more...umm..pleasant,softer and nautral beauty as a blonde,but i couldn´t imagine her playing the parts she did in woman in the window or scarlet street as a blonde.the black hair gave her these mysterious femme fatale looks that these roles demanded.she wouldn´t have been effective as a sweet pretty blonde.
