I went to the savethegarmentcenter.org website and ended up signing up to volunteer.
I went today to volunteer at Fashion Week and it was pretty nice. We ended up getting a lot of press and interviews about the campaign and many people voluntarily came up to us to sign the position because they felt strongly about the issue. There were even people who worked in the garment district who talked to us about how everything is changing and how business for them is a lot harder due to what is happening.
I know a lot of people involved in the Anna Sui show had special "save the garment center" t-shirts and I believe she was even giving them out in the her goodybags.
