^^Agreed for sure. Giannini should definitely NOT be one the list, neither should Bailey (Master of reinvention? Please...how about master of repetition), and Dolce & Gabbana (especially since recently they've been so hit and miss).
Theyskens should have been on the list FOR SURE...his work at Rochas was incredibly influential.
Lacroix should have been on there FOR SURE...geeze...you talk about lifestyle designers like Armani and Lauren, well, Lacroix is a lifestyle designer as well (although, certainly to a slightly lesser extent than Armani and Lauren). Lacroix has one of the most instantly recognizable styles, not only in his fashion but in every other design venture he has participated in. Besides fashion, he's done theater, product design, interior design, curatorial work, he's done everything. He pionnereed the pouf silhouette, he's a recognized master of print and color, he dressed a wildly popular TV show (Ab Fab), he's kept couture wonderfully fresh...I mean the list goes on and on. How can Frida beat out this legend?
Tisci should have also been on the list. And I think his youthfulness and greeness is definitely part of his influence. He's made dark, gothic glamour desirable again. He's the youngest couture designer and heads one of the most venerated houses in fashion history, therefor giving him imense power to influence taste.
Also, I think Tom should have been on the list as well. I know many people question his design ability, and many were unhappy with his position at YSL, but c'mon...the man MADE fashion sexy, raw, exciting, glamorous and extremely luxurious. He was incredibly controversial both because of his position at YSL and also the subject matter of some of his collections and most definitely because of his ad campaigns. And while he is currently not designing womenswear, he has revolutionized menswear...his menswear is the backlash to Heidi's lanky rocker teens. Tom's menswear is the epitome of luxury and sophistication and really personifies the modern man.
Otherwise, I think the list is very accurate.
