The fact that this show did not take place in a grandiose fashion @ the Grand Palais was an instant let down, for me. In regards to the actual couture, not a single gasp escaped my mouth, which seldom occurs during a Chanel HC show. It felt very RTW, especially on account of the trousers. Maybe this was a reflection of the changing market of Haute Couture. It makes sense; rather than only presenting extravagant dresses which have limited use, one-of-a-kind trousers is and answer to getting bang for your buck.
