I don't know where you are getting your croissants, but the good ones are chock full of butter, and if you don't think they will stain clothes, I encourage you to try it... just set that croissant down on some fabric... or even wipe your fingers on your clothes after eating it... I guarantee you will get some nice buttery stains.
