and i would say that's often the difference between a creative director and a designer...
for example-that's why nicola formichetti is creative director at mugler and there is someone else who is actually designing...
tom ford is really more of a stylist than a true designer---
i think the same can be said of marc jaobs most of the time...
but it's a valid skill set that i think can be very useful in keeping the image of the brand on track...
