^ Thanks- one of THE all time great movies! I saw it in an art house in wide screen once, and it was even better!
Cary's suits at that point in his career were made by Quintino in Beverly Hills, and if you really look closely, Martin Landau wears the exact same suit in several scenes; Hitchcock secretly had Cary's tailor make up identical suits for him- as you may know there was a strong gay undercurrent in the film, particularly between Landau and James Mason where they all imitated and commented on their admiration of one another, which was very subtle due to the culture of the mid 1950s...
