Bah, at first I refused to watch this because I'm super sick of the manic pixie dream girl persona that Zooey Deschanel has become the ambassador of, but I've seen every episode so far. I wouldn't call it giving the show a chance, more like I'm unemployed and bad television makes me feel better about myself
The character of Jess is highly annoying, mostly because she'd be super relateable if chick wasn't so darn aware of her "crazy" antics; she's quite normal when you think about it. I mean who doesn't tell stupid jokes and make up theme songs to everyday situations when surrounded by friends?
