Brock Collection S/S 2019 New York

Prada from various seasons meets Louis Vuitton by Marc Jacobs Circa 2005.
Another collection part of the « Vogue Runway Archive » series.

I typically love everything Brock does but this seems a bit repetitive mixed in with some Proenza vibes.

I definitely see the Prada references too.

Another romantic collection that I depend on them for, love the subtle western vibes. Americana at its finest, and most modern. Both great prints and subtle use of color, as always from them as well. They're dependable.

I've been a silent observer of Brock for the past few seasons and never really had much of an opinion. But this was the collection I came across that isn't 'dainty' but I liked this. The draw on America and just the overall quality is a major improvement.

I feel it as a 'lost' collection. It's quite evident that they were trying to move away from the usual dainty aesthetic but still keep the ladylike approach, but the ideas got lost on the way. It's not an entirely bad collection, but it's far from inspired!

I usually love their collections, but this feels just wrong. maybe it's the styling?
