It’s the 20s and 30s that are the inspiration for the Marina Rinaldi campaign for next winter. The plus-size brand has created clothes for curvy women that gives them personality and elegance wrapped in a veil of mystery and fascination.

The soft fabrics caressing the curves and the minimalist cuts recreate the anti-conformist atmosphere those decades were famous for. There are designs, including coats, in wool, silk and luxurious fur and in colours like camel, cassis and sulphur, giving women a sophisticated touch.

There’s a particular focus on the eveningwear. Black is the star, recalling the image of the super-chic 30s diva, who knew how to wear both a tuxedo and elegant dresses that left the shoulders bare and how to make playful use of transparent fabrics and necklines.

Posing for the campaign are two gorgeous curvy models, Candice Huffine and Jennie Runk, shot by the Australian photographer Emma Summerton.
