Spent 3 years doing PR at Michael Kors then began assisting artists after experiencing "fashion world burn-out"
Later he decided to combine all of his talents/skills (which included sewing) by making quilts.
He cites aerial land photography and topographical maps as inspirations for his works.
"Hundley is a prolific quilt-maker. Now, when he creates new pieces, he takes a more focused approach, often enlarging just one section of a map. The artist projects the segment onto a wall and traces what he feels are the map's most visually compelling elements. This becomes the working pattern from which he painstakingly cuts, pins and sews hundreds of pieces of fabric (taken from his own clothes, or donated by friends). Hundley works in solitude, sewing eight to ten hours each day. Treating his medium as seriously as ge would painting or sculpture--with due diligence and respect for aesthetics--Hundley has transformed a traditional craft into a versatile art that can transform your walls and still keep you feeling cozy."
