i discovered this artist recently and was blown away..
his work is delicate but so powerful..
i love his use of colours and the way everything looks slightly 'unfinished'..

amazing :heart:..

Kenichi Hoshine was born in Japan, raised in New Jersey and educated in New York.
His paintings have been exhibited in various cities around the world
including New York, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland.
He currently resides in New York.

yes. one of my favorites.
the compound gallery piece, the first untitled piece posted, and the wiped out man are my favorites of his. also, the ship on the sea with 'hope' as well as 'please send help'.
 
oh..it's like things are getting swallowed up by something..

the ones with the hair though, the first 3, are somehow a bit playful..

I liked "sketchbook" , "Meataus", and "drawing for compound gallery", very talented sketches (always tired japanese persons in the subways...) indeed! I shall make a search with his name in "kanji" on google or yahoo jp.
 
Interesting, I like how he mixes materials and his palette. I like the bits of finished drawings mixed in with color stains.
 
wow. I'm amazed and thrilled to have found this artist. I'm so inspired... such delicacy combined with content is a rare and beautiful occurence.
